Check & clean up drawing (dialog)
While the check runs
The check runs in five steps; the dialog names the current step and shows a progress bar: “Checking geometry …”, “Looking for coincident elements …”, “Checking hatches and dimensions …”, “Checking references (groups, welds, constraints) …”, “Checking geometry recommendations (polylines, splines, blocks, hatches) …”.
The result

| Explanatory line | “Findings in the drawing. Choose what should be cleaned up. Display, export and measurements stay untouched; the cleanup can be undone with Ctrl + Z.” |
| “DATA AND REFERENCES” | finding types pointing at faulty or useless data — ticked in advance |
| “GEOMETRY RECOMMENDATIONS” | suggestions for easier further use; the explode suggestions are not ticked in advance |
| “👁 Show” | fits the view to the findings and makes them blink orange for about 2.8 seconds |
| Number on the right | how many findings of this kind |
| “🧹 Clean up” | carries out the clean-ups ticked and closes the dialog |
If a file with unnecessary ballast has been loaded, a note about its size stands at the top as well.
When everything is in order
If the check finds nothing, the dialog shows “✓ No problems found — the drawing is clean.” and offers no cleanup.
After the cleanup
The status bar reports “Cleaned up: 1 element removed”, “Cleaned up: n elements removed” or — if elements were converted or exploded as well — “Cleaned up: n elements converted/exploded, m removed”. If nothing was ticked, it says “Nothing to clean up”.
