Insert frame and title block
Purpose
Draws the drawing frame on the print margin of the active sheet and a title block modelled on ISO 7200 at the bottom right — 180 mm wide (clipped on narrow sheets), three rows of 8 mm.
Access
- Right-click an empty spot on the sheet: “🗒 Insert frame + title block” (2).
- “Page setup” dialog (right-click the sheet tab): the button “Insert frame + title block”.
- No palette command; visible on a sheet only.
Procedure
One click is enough — all elements appear at once and the status bar reports “Frame and title block inserted — n elements (freely editable)”.
What is created
Everything is made of ordinary elements (rectangles, lines, texts) that you can change, move or delete with any tool:
- frame on the print margin, line width 1.4
- title block box with two horizontal and two vertical dividers
- eight fields with a small caption (1.8 mm, grey) and the value below it (3.2 mm)

The values are a snapshot: if you later change the sheet name or a viewport scale, the text stays as it is — adjust it with a double-click like any other text.
Layer
The elements go onto the active layer. If it is locked or hidden, this command is the only one that moves to the first free layer, reporting “Active layer is locked/hidden — frame and title block inserted on layer “name””.
Effect
One undo step — Ctrl+Z removes all elements at once. Inserting repeatedly stacks them. To change the sheet size, delete them first, then use Page setup and insert them again.
