Sheet tabs (status bar)
Overview
The tabs sit on the left of the status bar, right after the file name. They switch between model space and sheets. The active tab is filled blue.

(1) Model
Switches to model space, where you draw 1:1. It always exists and cannot be deleted.
(2) One tab per sheet
One tab per sheet, in the order they were created, labelled with the sheet name.

The tooltip reads “Right-click: page setup · double-click: rename”. An empty name is not accepted.
(3) “+”
Creates a new sheet and switches to it immediately (tooltip “New layout (paper space)”); see New layout.
How the strip behaves
The tab strip is at most 28 % of the window width and can be scrolled sideways when there are many sheets; the status bar wraps onto two rows if needed.
When switching
The program stores zoom and position of the space you leave, cancels a running tool, clears the selection, returns to “Select” and, on a sheet, has the boundaries of through-hatches searched again. A sheet without a stored view is fitted. An open print dialog sets itself up for the new space.
