How do I change the dimension text?

Prefix, suffix, tolerance#

1. Double-click the dimension (Select tool). Edit dimension opens.
2. Enter prefix (such as ⌀, R, M, 2x) and suffix (such as H7); the buttons Ø and R insert the sign.
3. Under Tolerance choose the kind — symmetric, upper/lower deviation, class, class + deviations or limit dimensions — and fill in the fields. For class + deviations and limit dimensions ⚙ determine supplies the deviations for the class.
4. Check the preview at the top and click OK.

Enter a driving value#

In the dialog click 🔒 driving, type the value and press Enter: the geometry is set to the dimension. This works for linear, radius, diameter, rectangle and angular dimensions on elements that are not fixed.

Free text instead of the value#

Click ✂ detached and type the text into the value field. Empty field = dimension line only, no number.

Decimal places of one dimension#

In the dialog choose the number of places under Decimals; Default restores the default. For many dimensions at once: select the dimensions, attribute panel (Ctrl+double-click), field Dec..

Font, colour, arrows of a dimension#

Open the attribute panel with Ctrl+double-click and change height, unit, colour, arrow length, arrow width, overshoot or the arrow position. Or select several dimensions, open the Dimension Settings, set the values and click Apply.
