Add to group

Purpose

Moves the selected elements, dimensions and hatches into an existing group; optionally a new one is created from the window.

Right-click menu of the drawing area: “⊕ Add to group…” (2).
Tool window, section “Edit” (2).
“Groups” section: right-click on a row → “Put selection into this group (n)” — puts the selection directly into this group without the window.
Command search : “Add to group”.

Select elements; without a prior selection the post-selection starts.
Call the command. If there is no group yet, the name field for a new one opens right away (Group elements). Otherwise the window “Add to group:” appears with all groups (subgroups indented, count in brackets), a search field and “+ New group…”.
Click a group — or type a search word and press Enter with exactly one match. Esc or ✕ closes. Status bar: “n element(s) moved to group "…"”.

The elements are taken out of their previous group (an element belongs to at most one group).
Dimensions whose references now lie completely in the target group come along automatically.
A group that becomes empty disappears — unless it was created empty on purpose or has subgroups.
One undo step.
