Exporting as SVG
Goal
The finished sheet as a vector file that can be placed into a document or shown in a browser.
Steps
- Switch to the sheet.
- File menu File → “⬇ Export SVG” (1).
- Answer the prompt “Export paper space — OK = sheet, flattened (scale applied) / Cancel = model content” with OK.
- The file is downloaded; the status bar names the sheet, the number of elements and the file name.
Result
An SVG file at sheet size with all viewport contents at the right scale, plus frame, title block, dimensions and hatches.
Note
From model space the SVG export contains geometry and texts only — no dimensions, hatches, blocks or images. For a complete export use a sheet or DXF.
Note
Line widths appear in the file in millimetres — where a line follows its layer, that layer’s Width (printer mm) applies. Caps and joins are round. For details see Lines in the file.
