Messages for file and tools

The commands report in the status bar at the bottom: what is expected next, what has happened and, in case of an error, why nothing happened. The texts appear here as the program shows them; placeholders such as n or name stand for the respective value.

Import and export#

DXF imported: n entities from name / n blocks taken over from the DXF file#

The DXF import has run. If there were findings, the number of possible issues is appended and the check dialog opens.

No entities found in the DXF#

The file could be read but held no geometry. Remedy: write the file again from the originating program, if need be as an older DXF format.

DXF import error: reason#

The file is damaged or is not a DXF. Remedy: check the file; an SVG or an image file belongs in through Import SVG or Insert image.

SVG imported: n elements from name · No elements found in the SVG · SVG import error: reason#

The same for the SVG import. If the file holds only images or text without paths, nothing arrives.

The file contains no importable geometry#

A file dropped with the mouse brought nothing usable.

Only .cad2d, .dxf, .svg or image files#

A file type LiberoDraft does not read was dragged onto the drawing area.

No elements to export#

There was nothing visible for the DXF or SVG export. Remedy: switch hidden layers on or clear the selection.

Export in paper space: the model content is exported#

On a sheet the prompt was answered with “model content” (export prompts).

Image#

Image inserted: name (w×h px)#

The image sits in the middle of the section at half the window size and 50 % opacity.

Image from clipboard (w×h px) — click places it, ESC cancels#

An image was pasted with Ctrl + V and hangs on the pointer.

Image scaled: ×f (a → b) / Image scaled: w x h mm / Scale image — drag, Shift = free distort / Scale: click the base point...#

The calibration has been carried out; the image now has the scale you wanted.

Width/height must not be 0 — check the values / Both values must be > 0#

A 0 stood in width or height in the dialog “Image properties”.

Image deleted · Image placed · Image Z level: n · Image insertion cancelled#

Feedback on the remaining actions on the image.

Coordinate table#

Coordinate table: a click places the table (top-left corner) · ESC/right-click cancels#

The table has been created and hangs on the pointer.

Coordinate table placed (n elements) — new group "name"#

The table is in place; its lines and texts form a new group.

Coordinate table cancelled#

Placing was ended with Esc or a right-click.

No points present#

The drawing holds no point elements that could be listed. Remedy: place points first (point, distribute points).

Number of points#

Label of the floating input field of distribute points. Allowed range is 1 to 1000.

The drawing holds no points. Remedy: place points with Point or create them with Distribute points.

Axis cross#

Axis cross: choose target circles — click or rubber band, buttons All / Only without cross / None, Enter creates#

The target selection is running (selection bar).

Please keep at least one circle or arc selected#

“Next…” was pressed without a selection.

Axis cross inserted: n circle(s)/arc(s), m element(s)#

The crosses have been created; m counts lines and, where chosen, centre points.

Axis cross cancelled · No circles present · No circles or arcs in the drawing — please draw some first#

The command was ended or found no suitable elements.

Text, leader, remark#

Text changed#

An existing text was changed through the dialog.

Only http/https links are supported — link removed / Ctrl+click opens: address / Link opened: address#

The address entered had another scheme; the text remains, the link was dropped.

Arrow tip set — click the 2nd point (text end) / Hinweistext: / Hinweistext (leer = kein Text):#

The first click of the leader is in place.

Leader placed · Leader changed · Move attachment — snaps to the nearest frame side · Leader attachment moved#

The arrow has been placed, or its text was changed by double-clicking.

Remark: set the arrow tip (ESC ends) · Remark: click the box position · Remark placed — click the next arrow tip (ESC ends)#

Note: drag to resize — the text rewraps#

A handle square at a corner of the remark has been grabbed. While you drag, the text rewraps at word boundaries (box size).

On releasing the corner handle: the box size reached, in millimetres. The second version appears when not all lines fit at a fixed height; the triangle at the bottom right of the box keeps showing it afterwards. Remedy, if nothing should be missing: drag the box higher or choose Automatic size in the dialog.

Cancelled#

Esc ended a remark, balloon, datum, feature control frame or “Distribute points”.

Open with preview#

Messages of the Open with preview dialog; they appear in the status line of the dialog, not in that of the program.

Choose a folder or files — drawings (.cad2d), standard parts (.json) and blocks (.ldblk) appear with a preview image. The folder has to be chosen again in every session (browsers do not remember folders); the images stay cached in the browser.#

No matching files (.cad2d, .json, .ldblk) found#

The chosen selection holds none of the three file types. Remedy: choose another folder; the dialog does not look into foreign formats.

While and after the preview images are computed. The second version says how many images came from the browser cache and how many were created anew.

1 file(s) were changed or removed since the selection — please choose the folder again#

Cause: The browser only releases the files that existed when you chose them. If one has been changed, deleted or added since, the program can no longer reach it.

Remedy: press Choose folder… again. Re-read does not help here.

No file matches the search#

In the tile area, when search term and folder choice leave nothing. Esc or the ✕ in the search field clears it.

not readable#

Cause: The file could not be interpreted as a drawing, standard part or block — it is damaged or comes from a foreign application. The tile shows ⚠ not readable; on a click the text appears in the status line.

Remedy: try the file with the ordinary Open; if that fails too, it is unusable for LiberoDraft.

Distribute points#

Distribute points: click an element (ESC ends)#

The Distribute points tool is waiting for an element.

Distribute points: please click an element (line, circle, arc, polyline, …)#

The click missed every suitable element.

n points placed — click the next element (ESC ends)#

The points have been created; the tool stays active.

Invalid count (1–1000)#

The prompt “Number of points” held no number between 1 and 1000.

Element not supported#

Points cannot be distributed on this element type.

Add-on tools#

Add-on tools: manifest not found or invalid#

Status bar when opening the add-on tools menu: the file zusatzprogramme.json next to the program is missing or is not valid JSON. Remedy: check the file on the server.

“Name” received from program — click to place#

Status bar when an add-on tool (gear generator, fastener generator, sheet-metal unfolding) hands its geometry back. It then hangs on the mouse like a standard part.

Add-on tools: invalid handoff#

The handoff was incomplete or unreadable. Remedy: repeat the step in the add-on tool.

Check and clean up#

Cleanup works on the model — switched to model space#

The check was started from a sheet; LiberoDraft switched to model space first.

Cleaned up: 1 element removed · Cleaned up: n elements removed · Cleaned up: n elements converted/exploded, m removed#

The cleanup has been carried out and can be undone with Ctrl + Z.

Nothing to clean up#

The chosen finding holds no entries any more.

This finding draws nothing in the drawing — there is no place to show#

Status bar after “Show” for a finding without a place in the drawing — such as empty groups or unused block definitions. Cleaning up still works.

“Clean up” was pressed without a tick.

Findings were discovered after an import; the check dialog opens.
