How do I replace a block by another one?

Single instances#

1. Select the instances that should get another content.
2. Right-click → 🔁 Replace with another block….
3. Click the target block in the dialog — the search field helps with many blocks. Position, rotation and scale remain.

All instances of a block#

1. Open the Block manager (double-click on an instance).
2. Select the block, then 🔁 Replace with … and the target block.
3. If the block also occurs in assemblies, the program asks whether to exchange there as well.

Afterwards the old block is often unused — Clean up in the section Unused blocks removes it.

Block from another drawing#

Export the block there with 💾 as .ldblk, load it here with 📂 Load block — and then replace as above. For purchased parts the standard part library is the shorter way.
