Text (dialog)
Overview
The dialog appears with the Text tool and when double-clicking an existing text. It can be moved by its title bar; the position dragged last is kept.
The fields

| Text field | the text; Enter creates a line break, Esc closes the dialog without a change |
| Height | character height in drawing units (factory: 5) |
| Angle | rotation of the text in degrees |
| Font | Arial, Helvetica, Times New Roman, Courier New, Georgia, Verdana |
| Anchor point | a grid of nine fields: which part of the text the insertion point sits at (factory: centre) |
| Bold / Italic | type style |
| Link (URL) | makes the text clickable; empty = ordinary text |
| “Cancel” / “OK” | discard or accept |
Below the link field stands the note “Leer = normaler Text · Link öffnen: Strg+Klick (neuer Browser-Tab)”.
The anchor point grid
The grid marks the chosen field in blue. When editing an existing text, the text stays where it looks if the anchor point is changed — only the anchor jumps to the new place.
After “OK”
With a new text it hangs on the pointer and is placed with every click (Esc or a right-click ends the series). When editing, “OK” takes effect at once; the status bar reports “Text changed”.
