Export DXF
Purpose
Writes the drawing as a DXF file — the usual route for handing geometry to another CAD program, to production or to a supplier.
Access
- File menu File → “⬇ Export DXF” (3).
- Command search : “DXF” (category File).
- No keyboard shortcut.
Procedure
- Call the command.
- In the model with a selection: a prompt asks whether only the selection or everything is written (export prompts).
- The dialog DXF options appears. On a sheet it additionally offers the choice “sheet flattened” or “model content”.
- “Export” writes the file; it is downloaded. The status bar names the count and the file name.
What goes into the file

The line type translation and the layer names follow the active DXF profile. Images are not exported.
Effect
The export does not change the drawing and is not an undo step. The options chosen in the dialog are kept for the next export.
