Zoom to fit

Purpose#

Places the whole drawing into the window so that all elements are visible with some margin (Show all).

Access#

• Key: A.
• Ribbon: group Action Zoom to fit (4).
• Classic toolbar: button Zoom to fit (4).
• Command search : Zoom to fit or fit.

Procedure#

One call is enough. The command cancels running functions, calculates the extent of all elements and sets zoom and position so that it fits the window with a margin. An empty drawing returns to the start view (origin centred, zoom 1).

If isolation is active, only the visible elements count; hidden ones stay out of the calculation. In paper space the sheet is fitted.
