How do I insert a standard part?

1. Type into the search field of the panel Standard parts, e.g. 4762 M6 — or click through the folder tiles.
2. Tick Insert as block if the part should count in the parts list.
3. Click the tile of the part. It hangs at the mouse at its insertion point.
4. Rotate with R (90°) or type the angle into the placement HUD; 📐 Measure angle takes a direction from the drawing.
5. Click the target point with snap. Every further click places another part; Esc ends.

Grip the part at another point#

Press B and click a snap point of the orange frozen part — it becomes the new grip.

Part on the active layer#

With the check box On current layer the part lands completely on the active layer instead of creating its layers NT-Kontur, NT-Mittellinie etc.

Part from your own computer#

Insert a local standard part opens a standard part file without a server.
