Creating a print profile

Goal#

A “Workshop” profile: contours 0.5 mm, centre lines 0.18 mm, dimensions 0.25 mm, hatches 0.13 mm — available at any time.

Steps#

1. Ctrl + P, then expand the “Line widths (mm)” section (7).
2. In the “Profile:” list (1) choose “— choose profile —”. This frees the layer rows.
3. Enter the width in mm per layer (3); a click on the color field sets the print color (everything in black, say).
4. Enter 0.25 at “◇ Dimensions:” (4) and 0.13 at “▤ Hatches:” (5).
5. Click 💾 (2) and enter “Workshop” as the name. The status bar reports “Print profile "Workshop" saved”.

Result#

The profile appears in the list in every drawing. Choosing it sets all values at once (“Print profile "Workshop" activated”). If a drawing has layers the profile does not contain, the status bar names them — their values stay unchanged.
