Block BOM
Purpose
Opens the dialog BOM data for the definition of the selected block instance: block name, designation, article number, standard, material, unit, weight, supplier, price, remark and the check box List as a single part in the BOM. The dialog field by field: Dialog BOM data.
Access
- Right-click on a selected instance → 🧩 BOM data… (2 in the picture at Edit block).
- Panel Blocks: row button ✎ Edit BOM data of a definition.
- Block manager: select the block, 📋 BOM data.
- Command search : type Block BOM (needs a selected instance).
Procedure
- Select an instance, start the command. The dialog shows n× in the drawing at the top right.
- Fill in the fields; the first field is already highlighted.
- Save applies the values to all instances of the block, increases the block version and reports BOM data saved: Name. Cancel, Esc or a click beside the dialog discard.
Without a selected instance: Please select a block instance first.
Rules
- The data belong to the definition, not to the instance. If instances should carry different data, split off a variant.
- An empty block name is not applied; the previous one remains.
- The check box As a single part controls the structured BOM (As a single part).
