How do I place item balloons?

1. In the ribbon open the list under Dimension (arrow) and choose Balloon.
2. Click an edge of a block instance — the arrow tip binds there.
3. Click the position of the circle. The balloon shows the item number from the parts list.
4. Repeat for the next instance; Esc ends.

Free balloon with your own text#

Click any element or into empty space instead of a block instance. The balloon shows ?; a double-click opens Balloon text.

Numbers by structured instead of quantity BOM#

Insert the parts list once into the drawing in the desired view — from then on the balloons show items of this view (e.g. 2.1). You may delete the table afterwards; the setting remains.

Size and visibility#

Circle and text size follow the text height, the arrow size the arrow from the Dimension settings. The eye of the system layer Dimensions hides balloons together with the dimensions.
