How do I create a parts list?

1. Draw every purchased part and every assembly as a block — or insert standard parts with the check box Insert as block.
2. Maintain the BOM data per block: right-click on an instance → 🧩 BOM data…, enter designation, article number, material etc., Save.
3. Click 📋 Parts list (BOM) in the panel Blocks. The dialog counts all instances.
4. Switch at the top between Quantity BOM (identical parts merged) and Structured BOM (assemblies as a tree).

Dissolve an assembly#

If an assembly should count its single parts instead of appearing as one part, clear the check box List as a single part in the BOM in its BOM data. The structured BOM then shows items like 2.1 (As a single part).

Insert into the drawing#

Insert into drawing attaches the list as a table block to the mouse; click its position. The table is not updated — after changes delete and insert it again. From now on balloons show the items of this view.

Export as CSV#

Export CSV downloads stueckliste.csv with all eleven columns; the file opens directly in Excel or LibreOffice Calc.
