Save
Purpose
Writes the drawing to the file from which it was opened or to which it was last saved. If there is no file yet, the command behaves like Save As.
Access
- Key: Ctrl + S.
- File menu → 💾 Save (4).
- Command search : Save.
Procedure
- Chrome, Edge (native file access): the file is overwritten without a prompt; the status bar reports Saved: Name.cad2d. The change mark ● in the browser tab disappears.
- Firefox, Safari or no file yet: the procedure of Save As follows — file dialog or download.
Note
Saving writes the complete state of the drawing. There is no automatic backup in the background; save regularly. When closing the tab with pending changes the browser asks.
