Printing from the model to scale
Goal
A printout on A4 landscape at 1:2, margins 10 mm, with a frame.
Steps
- Ctrl + P — the print dialog appears and the print area hangs from the pointer.
- Choose paper A4 (1) and orientation Landscape (2), enter the scale 1 : 2 (3) and leave the margins at 10 mm (4).
- Place the area over the drawing and fix it with a click (“Print area fixed …”). If it sits wrong, click again and place it anew.
- Before printing, check the line widths (7): with “From drawing” every element prints with its own attributes.
- “🖨 Print” (9). In the browser window choose “Margins: None” and 100 % scaling, then print or save as PDF.
Result
The printout shows exactly the framed section at half the size of the drawing; the bottom right carries the file name, scale and paper format.
Tip
If the printed length differs from the drawing, set up the print calibration once — it then applies to every printout.
