Page setup
Purpose
Sets a sheet’s format, orientation and margin. The dialog is also the place for “Insert frame + title block” and for deleting the sheet.
Access
- Status bar: right-click the sheet’s tab (tooltip “Right-click: page setup · double-click: rename”).
- No palette command; available on a sheet only.
Procedure
- Right-click the tab — the dialog “Page setup — Layout n” appears.
- Choose format A4, A3, A2, A1 or A0 (1) and orientation “Landscape” or “Portrait” (1).
- Enter the margin in mm (2) — it applies to all four sides (0–50 mm).
- “OK”. If the sheet is open and has no stored view yet, it is fitted again.
Options
- “Insert frame + title block” (3) closes the dialog and places frame and title block on the sheet (Frame and title block).
- “Delete layout” (4) removes the sheet after the prompt “Delete layout “n” permanently? All sheet elements of this layout will be lost (cannot be undone).” — no undo.
- Enter confirms, Esc cancels.
Effect
Format and margin form one undo step. The margin is the print margin: the drawing frame is drawn on it, and it carries the sheet frame when printing. Viewports already placed stay where they are — on a smaller sheet they may stick out over the edge and have to be moved.
