Show parts list (BOM)
Purpose
Opens the dialog Parts list with all block instances of the model as a quantity or structured BOM. From there you insert the list into the drawing as a table or export it as CSV. Context: Parts lists. The dialog field by field: Dialog Parts list.
Access
- Panel Blocks: button 📋 Parts list (BOM) (3 in the picture at Blocks).
- Command search : type BOM (the entry is labelled in German: Stückliste anzeigen (BOM)).
The command has no button in the ribbon or the classic toolbar.
Procedure
- Start the command. If the drawing contains hidden blocks, the program first asks whether they should be counted (Hidden blocks).
- Switch at the top between Quantity BOM and Structured BOM. The header states the number of items.
- Optionally Insert into drawing — the table block hangs at the mouse — or Export CSV. Close ends.
A second call with the dialog open closes it. Without blocks the dialog says No blocks placed in this drawing.
Rules
- The model is always counted, also from the paper space.
- Blocks without designation and article number appear grey (no BOM data).
- As a single part per block decides whether assemblies are dissolved (As a single part).
- Inserting switches the balloon numbering to the chosen view (Balloons show quantity-BOM item numbers / … structured item numbers).
