Tool window, favourites and command search
Besides ribbon and classic toolbar LiberoDraft offers three further ways to its commands: the tool window on the left, the freely composable favourites palette and the command search with Ctrl + F.
The tool window
The window Tools hangs at the left at the top edge of the drawing area. It can be moved freely by its header ⋮⋮ and collapsed and expanded with the triangle at the right of the header. It contains five sections:

The favourites palette
Below the tool window lies the favourites palette — a small, movable collection of your most used tools. It is empty at first (Drop tool here).
- Adding: right-click a button in the ribbon or in the classic toolbar → Add to favourites. Alternatively drag the button into the palette with the mouse button held down.
- Removing: right-click the same button → Remove from favourites, or the × on the entry in the palette.
- Reordering: drag entries within the palette.
The favourites are saved with the settings on the computer and can be transferred to another computer with Save/load settings.
The command search
Ctrl + F or Find command opens the command search. Type part of the command name or a keyword (zoom, save, hatch): the list shows all matching commands with category and shortcut. ↑ ↓ choose, Enter executes, Esc closes.
The command search knows all 142 commands of the program — also those without their own button such as Zoom out or Switch ribbon / classic toolbar. Details: Command search.
The instruction field
At the left below the ribbon the instruction field shows the name of the active tool and the expected next step (1. Klick = Startpunkt der Linie setzen). In addition a tooltip flies along next to the pointer while drawing; it can be switched off in the Settings dialog (Flying tooltip).
Right-click on a button
Every button of the ribbon and of the classic toolbar has a right-click menu with Add to favourites or Remove from favourites and the switch of the layout (Switch to classic toolbar / Switch to ribbon). Buttons without a tool (File, Print, Info) only offer the layout switch.
