Dialog Block manager
The window opens with the command Block manager, by double-clicking a block instance or from the right-click menu. It floats over the drawing without a grey veil, the drawing stays operable; it can be moved by its title, the position is saved. Context: Blocks.
Header
Search …
Filters the tree by name; subtrees with hits are unfolded. Search term and check box survive closing and are applied again when opened next. Without hits: No blocks matching „…“ found in this drawing with the note about Show all.
Parts-list data
With the check box the field also searches article number, material, standard, supplier, weight, price, unit and remark of the BOM data.
Show all · n definitions
Show all clears the search field. On the right stands the number of all definitions of the drawing, at the far right ✕ to close.
Tree
Each row is a definition: fold triangle (with contained sub-blocks), eye (hides and shows all instances of this definition — 🚫 when hidden), name with multiplicity ×n within the assembly, marks and on the right n× in the drawing. A click selects the block (blue bar on the left) and highlights its instances in the drawing; instances selected in the drawing colour their row light blue.

Unused blocks · Clean up
Definitions without an instance and without occurrence in other blocks are listed in a separate section. Clean up deletes them all at once after confirmation (Delete unused blocks?); status line n unused blocks deleted.
Actions
All actions act on the selected block; without selection the window reports Please select a block in the list first.
⤵ Insert
Attaches a new instance to the mouse (Inserting instances). The window stays open — so you place several blocks one after the other.
🔍 Show
Selects all instances of the block in the drawing, zooms to them and lets them flash briefly (n instances selected). If the block has no instance in the drawing: No instances placed (block is only contained in other blocks).
✏️ Edit
Closes the window and opens the block editor.
📋 BOM data
Opens the dialog BOM data; the window stays open.
🔁 Replace with …
Replaces all instances of the block by another one (Replacing in the Block manager); if the block occurs inside other blocks, the question follows whether there as well.
Rename
Asks New name. A name already taken is rejected (Name already taken). The block name can also be changed in the dialog BOM data.
💾 Export
Writes Name.ldblk with all sub-blocks into the download folder (Block files).
🗑 Delete
Deletes the definition after confirmation (Delete block definition «… permanently?»). Refused while the block is in use — the reason stands in red in the window: The block is still placed n× in the drawing. Delete or explode all instances first. or The block is contained in «…. Remove it there first.» The button is then greyed out and states the reason as tooltip.
Dialog Replace with …
The same tree with search field, without actions: a click on a row replaces immediately. The source block is greyed out and cannot be chosen. If there is no other definition, the dialog does not open (No other block available as target). Esc or Cancel close without change.
