Block manager
Purpose
Opens the window Block manager with all block definitions of the drawing as a tree: nesting, count in the drawing, parts list marks, eye, search and the actions Insert, Show, Edit, BOM data, Replace, Rename, Export and Delete. The window field by field: Dialog Block manager.
Access
- Panel Blocks: button 🗂️ Block manager (4 in the picture at Blocks).
- Double-click on a block instance in the drawing — the window opens with this block selected and unfolded.
- Right-click on a selected instance → 🗂️ Block manager… (5 in the picture at Edit block).
- Command search : type Block manager.
The command has no button in the ribbon or the classic toolbar; the block commands live in the section Blocks of the panel on the right, in the right-click menu and in the command search.
Procedure
The window floats freely over the drawing — the drawing stays operable, the window can be moved by its title and remembers its position. Clicking a row selects the block and highlights its instances in the drawing; then choose an action at the bottom. It is closed only with Close or ✕; Esc still belongs to the canvas.
